Sitting above a small town overlooking the sea, this Sicily villa in the mountains is just the place to get away from it all. It's just you, the villa, and gorgeous views. The kitchen of this villa for rent in Sicily, Italy, is large and roomy enough to have fun cooking your own meals, and the villa is surrounded by outdoor areas great for swimming, barbequing, or simply relaxing. We recommend abandoning your car at this holiday home in Sicily and walking to the village, where you can engage in Sicilian small town life and buy fresh local produce.

Located on a hillside, Milo is a summer resort founded in the 14th century. The villa is situated five-hundred meters above the village. It is surrounded by extensive grounds and mature trees. There are shaded areas for al fresco dining and a circular furnished terrace that enjoys the sun and a magnificent view. The swimming pool is open from May 1 - October 1. The villa's rooms are very large and have high ceilings. Although the kitchen was modernized, the orginal facilities remain. The village of Milo offers a few small shops and restaurants, while more complete services can be found in nearby Zafferana. The sea is ten kilometres from the villa. Taormina (25 km) and Catania (35 km) are also within easy driving distance.

The entrance leads into a furnished hallway. The sitting/dining room has access to the front terrace. The kitchen is connected to a breakfast room that opens onto the rear terrace. There is a walk-through single bedroom that leads to a double bedroom with access to the front terrace. There is a bathroom with small tub and handheld showerhead; there is also a washing machine. There is one twin-bedded room and one single bedroom; both bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. There is a second double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and access to the rear terrace. The amenities include: barbecue.

- Upon arrival at the property you are required to pay to the property representative a security deposit payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure minus any extra charges or accidental damages to the property. The listed security deposit is: 600 EUR

Overall:
It went very well. The villa is very nice except that in the heat of the day there is no air conditioning.
Enjoyed Most:
The view! It is a spectacular one.
Enjoyed Least:
The beds and the lack of air conditioning. Also, the washing machine is very difficult to use. I recommend that the owners print out directions on how to use the washer.
Surrounding Area:
The quaintness and the lack of hustle bustle.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Milo is witin walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is a nice restaurant within walking distance and I highly recommend the little restaurant as you enter Gierre which is on the way to the Autostrada.

Enjoyed Most:
Plenty of room.
Big yard area, though pretty overgrown and weedy.
Kitchen was nice.
Shutters gave lots of quiet and kept the light out.
Enjoyed Least:
Beds and pillows, particularly in master bedroom, were not good.
Lighting was a bit substandard.
Surrounding Area:
View and rural area. People very friendly.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Milo was about ten minutes away which has a small store and a couple of reasonable restaurants.

Enjoyed Most:
Atmosphere-terrific setting and wonderful ambiance
Enjoyed Least:
Rain and cold in October. The old farm kitchen was wonderful but an upgrade of the "new kitchen", particularly the stove would be great!!

Views, vineyards, trees and of course Mt. Etna.

Milo was within walking distance.

Arrange a chef for a fabulous meal.
