- Location Description

The villa is located less than four kilometers from Moio Alcantara, a small Sicilian commune where you’ll find a few shops and restaurants. Venture a little further and you’ll reach Castiglione di Sicilia, a beautiful town with a larger selection of shops, restaurants, and markets. The Cathedral Church is a definite must for site seeing while visiting as it dates back to the 18th century. Goat and pig farms surround this hilltop town so you won’t have to look far to find delicious cheese and salamis. You’ll also be able to shop for handmade crafts like tapestries, embroideries, and pastries. When you’re done exploring the town, be sure to visit the Mt Etna Craters and take a trip or two to the beach!

Customer Reviews
Overall:
The villa was in a lovely area in the mountains near Mount Etna and very peaceful indeed! The pool was great and use of the tennis court was a bonus. Alessandro, the owner, made us all feel very welcome, and did everything to help us make the most of our holiday! We enjoyed the wine and olive oil from the estate very much indeed!
Enjoyed Most:
We loved the outside space and the fact the villa was lovely and cool in the evenings with the breeze. It is a beautiful villa.
Enjoyed Least:
Unfortunately the wasps were a problem, so we were unable to eat outside during the day without being surrounded, but no problem in the evenings.
Surrounding Area:
It was lovely scenery, and we also enjoyed a couple of visits to the beach club, kindly arranged by Alessandro. The water was very clear and warm, and a pretty beach bar at the end of the beach was great for lunch.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The nearest small town was Moio Alcantara and no, not in walking distance
Tips or Restaurants:
Tennis raquets and balls! Alessandro will advise on restaurants.
Check In Out:
All fine.
