This beautiful 16th century villa has been providing memorable experiences in Tuscany for hundreds of years, and you and your guests will enjoy its timeless features like wood beam ceilings and terracotta tile floors, as well as its modern amenities like its private swimming pool. Just as importantly, this villa is well-positioned for experiencing the best of Tuscany, with a small village within walking distance and access to Lucca, one of the region’s most charming cities. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, so this is a great choice for families or a group of friends. On the same large estate are Casa Matilda, and Casa Francesco, which can also be rented at the same time for larger groups.
- Location Description
The villa is located 1 km from the village of Segromigno in Monte where there is a market, pizzeria, shop, and post office. Just 12 kilometers away is Lucca, which is a must-see city full of medieval charm and impressive sights. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130-foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable… and a lot less work! Plus there are plenty of shops and restaurants for your enjoyment. Day trip destinations include Pisa and Florence.

- Exterior Description
This villa dates back to the 16th century, and has been recently restored while preserving its charming (and ancient!) terracotta tile floors, exposed wood beam ceilings, and original fireplaces. The large property has a garden on three sides of the villa with shaded areas to escape from the sun. There’s a private pool with views of the countryside, and a shared tennis court on the estate. The pool is open from mid May to mid September.
- Interior Description
Ground Floor:
This floor has a fully-equipped kitchen with a fireplace. There’s a dining room with a table, chairs, and a fireplace. There’s also a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160-170 cm) and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub, sink, and toilet.
First Floor:
This floor has six bedrooms. The first three have twin-beds (85-90 cm) and en suite bathrooms with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. The fourth, fifth, and sixth have queen-size beds (160-170 cm) and en suite bathrooms with a bathtub, sink, and toilet.
