Feel like a local both indoors and out with our beautifulluy furnished Florence vacation accommodation, well suited for a family. Located in the historical center of the city near the Duomo, this florence apartment is also near some of the most fantastic restaurants you'll ever find.
- Location Description

The apartment building is located close to the Duomo in Florence's historical center. Historic attractions, shops, and cafes are within walking distance.
Nearby Attractions: The area around the Basilica di Santa Maria dei Fiore, commonly referred to as The “Duomo,” is considered the historic center of the city. From here it is possible to walk north to the San Lorenzo Church, the San Lorenzo outdoor market (where you can find all manner of clothing, shoes and bags,) as well as the not-to-be-missed Mercado Centrale, with its mouthwatering displays of food items. West and north is the train station and the Santa Maris Novella Church. While in this area, it is worthwhile to visit the Officina di Santa Maria Novella… the potpourri perfume will guide you. To the south are the Piazza della Signoria, the political center of Renaissance, the Uffizi Gallery, the Orsanmichele Church, the Casa di Dante, the Badia Fiorentina, and the Ponte Vecchio. Along the way are shops galore! One very interesting place is visit that is southwest of the Duomo, is the Palazzo Davanzati, a beautiful home with period furnishings, originally built in the 14th century. After years of renovation, it is finally open!

The apartment is located in a historic palazzo which was completely restored in 1998. The building features a large entryway and a courtyard with a small communal garden area.
- Interior Description

Third Floor (with elevator). This apartment is on two levels.
First Level: There is a large living room with a view of the famous “Delle Oblate” garden. Two steps down from the living room, there is a dining area with seating for six people, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, toaster, American coffeemaker, fridge, and small freezer. There is a bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom with tub, and a master bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with tub. Both bedrooms overlook the interior garden and are very quiet.
Second Level: There is a comfortable bedroom with two twin beds and wood-beamed ceilings, a small laundry area, and a bathroom with shower.

Q: Hi - The location sounds amazing. Is it truly on a quiet street and easy to get around? Thanks
A: The location is amazing. We had two adults and three children and were incredibly pleased. The apartment is beautiful! We did not feel like it was noisy. Do not open windows in the summer. We did encounter some terrible mosquitoes if windows are left open over night. Everything else was wonderful. The apt. is prettier than the pictures.

Security Deposit
- Upon arrival at the property you are required to pay a security deposit by credit card and sign a form authorizing charges for extras and/or damages that occur during your stay. The security deposit will be refunded within one week of your departure from the property minus any extra charges or accidental damages to the property. The security deposit amount is: 300 EUR

Enjoyed Most:
Nice living room with American TV channels available. Master bedroom and 2nd bedroom are very nice!
Enjoyed Least:
Kitchen was small and 3rd bedroom upstairs wasn't great.
Surrounding Area:
GREAT location! Loved it!
Tips or Restaurants:
If traveling with 3 couples, the upstairs bedroom would not be acceptable. Also there a few steps in the apartment, so it would not be good for anyone with mobility issues.

Overall:
This was a wonderful apartment that was well appointed and with a great, central location just down the street from Il Duomo.
Enjoyed Most:
The spaciousness of the apartment was a real surprise. The bathrooms were large and the amenities in the apartment were wonderful.

Very good location near just about everything.
Tips or Restaurants:
Found a wonderful restaurant called Tratorria Garga that was our best meal in Italy.

Overall:
Our overall experience was very good. The apartment is perfectly located a block from the Duomo, with a nice view of the trees in the courtyard across the street from the living room. The apartment is even more attractive and brighter than the photos on the website.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, location, location--just a block from the Duomo in central Florence. Close to everything, and very comfortable--in a lovely and secure old palazzo.
Enjoyed Least:
The small kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is very crowded with two people in it, and the dining area is cramped for six people.
The hot water in the showers comes and goes, so you have to be careful adjusting the temperature of the water.
Surrounding Area:
The neighborhood is fantastic. Right in the center of Florence, with a restaurant and Internet cafe across the street. A supermercato four blocks down the street. Many excellent restaurants in the area. And a 10 minute walk to virtually every major museum and the Ponte Vecchio.
Tips or Restaurants:
La Giostra a few blocks away is a very special restaurant, both for food and ambiance. Not to be missed.
You will need to bring-buy laundry and dishwasher soap. Also a good idea to bring an Internet cable, which was not there when we arrived. Note that there is no wi-fi.

The property is very easy to find.
