Location Description

This villa is located eight kilometers from the town of Rignano sull’Arno. Rignano sull’Arno has a train station and has several ancient churches, as well as the Monastery of Santa Maria a Rosano, said to date back to the year 780. Due to its location in the Florentine hills, one of the best things about this property is that it is a short drive to Florence, located eleven kilometers away, a city rich in architectural and artistic masterpieces. Visit the Piazza San Giovanni, also known as the religious heart of the city, and you’ll see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), built in the 15th century. Other marvelous attractions include the Ponte Vecchio where you can go shopping, the Accademia with the famous sculpture of David, and of course the Uffizi Gallery. There is also a train station in central Florence that can take you quickly and conveniently to Siena or Pisa for the day.

Nearby Attractions: San Donato, with the nearest bus station, as well as a post office, grocery shops, a butcher, and a pizzeria.

Situated in the Florentine hills, this villa is fenced to provide privacy. The swimming pool (25m x 12m, open late May – late September) has a Jacuzzi, which may be heated upon request. Around the swimming pool deck are two gazebos, and in front of the house is a covered wooden porch. It is possible to set up lounge chairs here or dine al fresco. Also on the property is a heliport and parking for several cars.

Ground Floor: The entrance hall leads to the living room with a fireplace, the dining area, the reading/study area, and the entertainment area containing a 54" flat screen satellite TV (sky channels service) and a home theatre sound system with DVD and CD players. The dining area leads to a utility room with an ice machine, the tea and coffee makers, a cupboard containing dishware, silverware and glassware. The kitchen is equipped with a 6-burner stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Off of the living room are the five bedrooms and five baths. Each bedroom has a king size bed (200 cm x 160 cm) and a wardrobe, air conditioning, a 28" TV with a CD/DVD player, and a private terrace. Each en suite bathroom has a shower.
