Customer Reviews

Overall:
This was definitely a home away from home. It is in a prime location for easy touring of the Tuscany area. The home itself is immaculate inside and out. The ambience is most welcoming and the home is beautifully decorated with every detail provided for the comfort and convenience of the guests. We were so happy to come "home" to this lovely locale after a long day of touring. Renata and Alessandro could not have been more accommodating. They are warm, generous and kind and have a wealth of information to share with guests about all aspects of Tuscany. We truly enjoyed this beautiful home and our overall experience so very much. Renata and Alessandro are to be commended for providing such a beautiful home to share. We thank them immensely.
Enjoyed Most:
The comfort and convenience of relaxing in a beautiful home after long days of touring.
Surrounding Area:
The sheer beauty and rich history as well as the wonderful people and welcoming attitudes by all.
Tips or Restaurants:
Everything we needed was provided at the house. Renata and Alessandro have an entire listing of restaurants and shops and so much more right at the house. They also are more than willing to provide additional assistance or recommendations.
Directions:
We had a GPS that seemed out of the dark ages so was completely unhelpful to us. Since we failed to bring the directions provided, we relied on the goodness and hospitality of the local people to get us to the house. They were all marvelous and we found it because of their kindness.
Check In Out:
It was very easy and quick and efficient.

Renata and Alessandro were fabulous hosts and the villa was wonderful.
Enjoyed Most:
The views were great and there was ample space for everyone. We had 7 people. The WiFi was much appreciated. Our hosts were very accomodating and eager to help us enjoy our experience. Staying in a 1600s vintage villa--so nicely furnished--was terrific.
Enjoyed Least:
We were the first ones in for the year and the month of March is very rainy, but we dealt with it.
Surrounding Area:
Wineries. Views. Proximity to Florence. Quiet.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Baccaiano was within walking distance and included a bakery and ATM. It was a short drive to Montespertoli and it had the grocery store and anything you needed.
Tips or Restaurants:
Request a dinner prepared by Renata and Alessandro - it is MAGNIFICA!! And do it early as you will have leftovers for 3 more days!!
Directions:
GET A GPS!!! Period.
Check In Out:
Very accommodating. We misunderstood and did not realize we needed cash for the security deposit and the close out.

Overall:
We enjoyed the villa very much. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the entire property was very well maintained. The views of the surrounding Tuscan hills were spectacular and the villa is nestled in an olive grove. The three bedrooms with king beds and en suite baths was an ideal set-up for 3 couples.
Enjoyed Most:
We booked Renata and Alessandro to cook an Italian feast for us. It was a terrific meal and they were both wonderful hosts. They were accessible by telephone or email if needed.
Enjoyed Least:
The American coffee pot was not functioning well, but Alessandro fixed it for us.
Surrounding Area:
Montagnana is a charming small town with a bakery, a terrific restaurant, Il Folcare, and a castle. We also enjoyed visiting the Sonnino castle for lunch and wine tastings in Montespertoli. It was a 30-45 minute trip to the Chianti wine villages of Greve, Radda and Panzano.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The villa is in the town of Montagnana. It was not within walking distance, but was a quick drive.
Tips or Restaurants:
We enjoyed meals at Il Folcare in Montagnana and Durando in San Gimignano. The grocery store in Montespertoli had all the supplies we needed to cook meals at the villa.
Directions:
Our GPS was not functioning initially, so we followed the directions provided. We did get a bit lost, but an English speaking local knew the property and helped us out. The other 2 couples both had GPS units and they had no problems.
Check In Out:
Renata and Alessandro were very friendly and easy to deal with.
