Overall:
We absolutely loved our time at Il Castello 27! Our family loved the property and the people that worked there were so friendly and helpful!
Enjoyed Most:
The apartment overall was very spacious and open, the views were spectacular. The castle was so well preserved and we really enjoyed the quietness of everything. No radio or television was a real treat!
Enjoyed Least:
Beds were very uncomfortable and insects were bad during the night with the windows open.
Surrounding Area:
Just about everything! Beautiful countryside, people were friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful!
Tips or Restaurants:
The food at the castle restaurant was very good and we ate there most every night! Bug spray is a must and a great book and a puzzle, family board game, or cards for entertainment.
Directions:
We did not have GPS (unfortunately)! The directions were very good but we did have a problem due to unfamiliarity with road signs and language.

Overall:
The castle is a wonderful place. I can't begin to describe how beautiful it was there. I could have stayed at the castle and never left to explore Italy.
Enjoyed Most:
The grounds were exquisite, the gardens spectacular. My kids loved exploring the endless staircases and doors of the castle. The views were priceless. Sitting in the garden drinking a glass of Chianti and enjoying the scenery. Views of olive groves, vineyards and mountains.
Enjoyed Least:
The restaurant on the premises was sub-par at best. Also expensive when compared to the local restaurants.
Surrounding Area:
Local restaurants and cafes. Towns where nearby to get whatever you might need. Most hill towns were about an hour's drive due to local roads. Florence is a thirty-minute drive.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monstespretoli and Bacciano are a 5-minute drive. Nothing is really wthin walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
You need a car to stay here. Really, a beautiful place. If I were to return to Tuscany I would definitely stay here again. Beware of lunch time in the small towns. Everything shuts down from one to three pm. Make sure you eat before that.

Overall:
Great place, great time!
Enjoyed Most:
It was just plain cool to be in a castle!
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing major worth mentioning
Surrounding Area:
Very quiet, yet close to everything.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montagnana or Bacciano. Both about a 10 minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring toilet paper and dish soap, although the bar sold dish soap!

Overall:
It was perfect for a group experience and the wedding there was dreamy.
Enjoyed Most:
The overall look of the castle was very romantic and the staff on-site was
very helpful.
Enjoyed Least:
It was very difficult without a car to do anything. There were no
clocks or radios in any of the rooms. I wish that there had been a sheet explaining about where to take the trash. The
kitchen was not stocked with trash bags, dish soap or sponges.
Surrounding Area:
The vineyards were beautiful and the locals were all very helpful.
Bacciano was about 15 minutes walk down (and then back up) the hill. There
was one restaurant there, but if you didn't make reservations, you couldn't
eat dinner. Again, having a car was imperative.
Nearby Events or Locales:
There are alot of ceramic factories in the next town.
Tips or Restaurants:
Definately rent a car--the roads are well marked and locals are helpful if
you get lost. Also, bring a transister radio or a walkman--one week without
music, TV or newspapers was a little too much peace and quite.
