It is an exceptional place to be located in Florence.
Surrounding Area:
Tremendous location. Cabs easily accessible. Restaurants in abundance. Many exceptional tourist locations so near by. The piazza is exceptional.

No. we did travel to Venice. Pisa, and Lucca by train.

They have the best food. Waiter Massimo is exceptional plus no seating charge. Always busy and once you eat there, you can understand why.
Directions:
We took a cab from the airport and he didn't seem to have any problem finding the place.
Check In Out:
No problem whatsoever. The staff is so friendly and you couldn't ask for more.

Overall:
We had a lovely stay right on piazza Santa Croce. The renovations to this 1600s palace were beautiful. The bedrooms and closets were surprisingly spacious and we had everything we needed in both kitchen and amenities. Our view of the Santa Croce piazza and church was delightful and we were only 5-10 minutes walk from everything we wanted to do or see without having the noise of urban life around us.

Washer and dryer were noisy.
Surrounding Area:
View from our room, two blocks from Uffizi Gallery and very active yet family-friendly nightlife on the Palazzo Vecchio without the noise in our piazza. Good restaurant and grocery/market shopping recommendations by apartment manager within blocks of the apartment.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We were on the middle of everything. Location couldn't be better.
Tips or Restaurants:
The apartment provided plenty of extra bedding and bath linens, even lots of clothes hangers and a light pull cart for grocery shopping. We only needed to purchase our own consumables (laundry and dish detergent and shampoo) beyond one or two uses supplied.
Directions:
Easy to find once proper address provided. We called when we were nearby for our check in appointment and were provided a cross street. Easy to locate given it's on one of the most famous piazzas in the city.

Very convenient.
