The property is located in Montopoli in Val d'Arno, a hamlet in the Pisa area of Tuscany. The nearest small village is Capanne, which has a supermarket, some small grocers, a pharmacy, restaurants, a post office, and a gas station. The nearest large town is Pontedera, which offers supermarkets, shops, gas stations, pharmacies, a hospital, post offices, restaurants, cafes, movie theatres, and a train station. In addition, the Versilian coast is less than an hour's drive away. The property is just off of the Fi-Pi-Li (Florence, Pisa, Livorno) Autostrada, which connects Pisa and Florence.

There are three separate groupings of villa rentals on this vast estate. Each of the accommodations have been renovated and refurbished to a very high standard. Each group has its own pool and shared laundry facilities. While they are located on the same estate, they are not close together, but can be accessed by a short drive by car. One farmhouse is divided into four apartments
(Krizia,
Versace,
Missoni,
Max Mara)
with a nearby barn
(Fendi);
another is divided into 3 apartments
(Prada,
Valentino,
Armani)
with a nearby farmhouse
(Gucci);
the third is a large villa
(Dolce and Gabanna)
which can be divided into two separate accommodations each sleeping 8, along with
Soprani,
a small farmhouse next to the villa. The beautiful swimming pools, open from the beginning of May to the end of October, are equipped with deck chairs, umbrellas and chaises are surrounded by lawn and vineyards. The property enjoys a tranquil spot with magnificent views. There is a plenty of parking available.

The apartment has been tastefully remodeled, and it features authentic materials such as old terracotta tiles and wooden beams in the ceilings.
Ground Floor
(accessed by six steps): There is a small sitting room, a closet, a large sitting room with a fireplace and access to the garden, and a dining room with a kitchen corner (electric range with oven and small fireplace for cooking) and access to the garden.
First Floor: There is a bedroom with two twin-beds, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a bedroom with two twin-beds and an ensuite bathroom (with shower), a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (with shower), and another double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (with shower). There are two doors that connect Valentino to Armani; renting the two apartments together conveniently creates a large apartment for 14 people.

Overall:
We loved the villa. It was close to Capanne and the train station in San Romano. We road the train to Pisa, Firenze and Siena. It was also within an hour's drive to Volterra. We cooked most days and rested well in the villa. The view was gorgeous from the villa and each evening we sat on the patio and watched deer and pheasants while drinking wine produced on the estate.
Enjoyed Most:
It was so peaceful and comfortable. Everyone made our stay so enjoyable.
Enjoyed Least:
The main office was not open at the times we were coming or going so I did not buy as much wine as I would have liked.
Surrounding Area:
The sounds and sights of the hills around the villa.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Capanne was the closest and we could not walk but is was about 2-3 km distance, but a very easy drive.
Tips or Restaurants:
Clothes line. The washing and drying took about 2 hours per load. By hanging the clothes in the spare half bath I was able to dry clothes while on day trips. I also bought toilet paper and some bathroom cleaning supplies to keep it clean while there.
Directions:
The directions were explicit but I had Google Earth before I left and had a virtual tour of the area. We had GPS in our car and traveled with a WiFi so we had 2 references.

There is a really good bread place in Montopoli.
Directions:
We used a GPS and were able to find the property easily.

Overall:
Beautiful setting, nice roomy bedrooms.

Cheap blankets on bed. The pool closes at 8.
Surrounding Area:
The beach at Viareggio and the walled city of Lucca within an hour's drive.
Check In Out:
A little more information would have been nice, such as where to put the garbage.
