And it’s a short distance to Cortona, most of the most charming towns in Tuscany!

Location Description

The property is four kilometers away from Cortona, an ancient Etruscan hilltop town that is full of art, history, and culture. Visit ancient Etruscan tombs dating back to the second century BC. Tour frescoed churches from the 13th century, explore the original city walls, and then take in an art exhibit in the 16th century fortress. You won’t have any trouble finding restaurants featuring delicious Tuscan dishes and there are plenty of shops selling antiques, crafts, wines, and olive oils, as well as a bank, post office, and pharmacy.

Nearby Attractions: Arezzo is perfect for a day trip. Once one of the most important Etruscan cities, today Arezzo is beautiful for an array of architecture spanning centuries, from Etruscan ruins to the Roman amphitheater and the Medici Fortress. The first weekend of each month brings a popular antique fair, while annually there is a festival called "Joust of the Saracens," where all of the citizens dress in medieval attire and knights representing each part of the city charge at a target representing a Saracen king. Other excellent day trip destinations from the property are to Lake Trasimeno, where you can participate in water sports, Arezzo, Perugia, and Siena.

The villa sits on a large, private estate with gardens, olive trees, walking paths, and panoramic views. The pool 23ft x 46ft (open the beginning of May through the end of September depending on the weather) has a whirlpool bath and sun beds, there is a shaded pergola, tables and chairs for alfresco dining, sitting areas, and sun umbrellas. There is also a barbecue and wood burning oven.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: The entrance leads to a comfortable living area with garden access, a dining area with old fireplace, and the fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There are two double bedrooms each with 160cm queen-sized beds. There are also two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite and equipped for disabled guests.

First Floor: (15 Steps) Here you’ll find four bedrooms. Three rooms have 160cm queen-sized beds, the fourth has two narrow 80cm twin beds (most appropriate for young people). Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower or tub. All rooms have unique décor and views of the valley.

Annex: This area has a private entrance and garden access. There is a suite with a cozy living area, a bedroom with 160cm queen-sized bed, a walk-in closet, and en en-suite bathroom with shower.

• The twin beds are 80 cm and narrow by US standards, they are most appropriate for young people. They cannot be arranged as a queen.
