Imagine being within walking distance to one of the most popular Chianti towns in Tuscany! Greve is not only the capital of the Chianti region; it is also home to wonderful shops and restaurants. The beautiful main square is the gathering place for locals and tourists alike. You will have the best of both worlds, with countryside views from your small villa, along with the facilities of a lively wine town a short walk away. There are two other villas very close by.

Location Description

Greve, the capitol of the Chianti region is just 500 meters walking distance and has shops, nice restaurants and bars. In ten minutes you will reach the main square, Piazza Matteotti, a lively place where festivals are regularly held. Don’t miss the famous shops of Greve including Antica Macelleria Falorni, a Tuscan butcher shop that has been in the same spot since 1729, and Bottega dell’Artigianato, a shop specialized in hand-woven baskets and products made in olive wood. Other daytrips include the artistic and medieval cities of Florence, Siena and San Gimignano as well as the charming Chianti villages of Castellina, Gaiole, Radda and Panzano.

Nearby Attractions: The Chianti region is known for its “Chianti Classico” wine. Greve in Chianti, with its triangular shaped piazza has a great wine museum. Panzano’s old town is perfect for taking walks and the town has several wine bars and restaurants which offer wine tasting. In Castellina in Chianti, walk Via delle Volte, an underground tunnel around the city. The medieval towns of Radda and Gaiole offer tourists many castles to visit including the Castle of Volpaia, Castle of Vertine and the Castle of Meleto.

Exterior Description

The villa, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, is spacious, cozy and offers nice panoramic views from a tower on the second floor. It has a large, furnished garden (400 m2) and a private swimming pool (9 x 3 m, 1.3 m deep – open from March 31 to September 30). Parking is available on the grounds. There are two other villas very close by, which can also be rented to accommodate larger groups.

Interior Description

(200 m2/2,152 ft2)

Ground Floor: The living room, equipped with Satellite TV, has a dining area with a table and chairs. The kitchen has a freezer, oven and dishwasher and leads to the laundry room with a washing machine. There is one bathroom with a shower.

First Floor: This floor has three double bedrooms each with queen size beds (160 cm) and ensuite bathrooms with showers. There is one bedroom with two narrow (80 cm) twin beds, most suitable for young people, and an ensuite bathroom with shower.

Second Floor (panoramic tower): There is one double bedroom with a queen size bed (160 cm).

Please Note:

• This property can be rented together with Casa Gioia and Casa Tina (only a few meters away) to accommodate more people.
• The twin beds are listed as 80 cm wide. The standard twin bed in the US is 90 cm wide.
• The pool is open from the end of March until the end of October.
