The property is four kilometers away from Cortona, an ancient Etruscan hilltop town that is full of art, history, and culture. Tour frescoed churches from the 13th century; explore the original city walls, and then visit an art exhibit in the 16th century fortress. You are also sure to find restaurants featuring delicious Tuscan dishes and ancient tombs dating back to the second century BC. There are plenty of shops selling antiques, crafts, wines, and olive oils, as well as a bank, post office, and pharmacy. Excellent day trip destinations from the property are to Lake Trasimeno, where you can participate in water sports, Arezzo, Perugia, and Siena.

The villa is a recently reconstructed house situated on the top of the hill overlooking the valley. There is a private swimming pool (open from May until October), a gazebo with dining tables and chairs and a BBQ. The fenced garden gives on to wonderful valley views. A long, unpaved road leads to the property. The road is only wide enough for one car so care should be taken while driving.

Ground Floor: The entrance opens into a combined living and dining area with sofas, chairs and a dining room table. There is a fully equipped kitchenette. There are two double rooms, one with a queen-size bed (160 cm) and one with narrow twin beds (80 cm) which can be pushed together, upon prior request, to form a queen-size bed (160 cm). Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower. There is air conditioning in the whole house.

It was wonderful. It is very comfortable and the views are magnificent. The landscaping is well done and interesting.

The views and the comfort.

The road up to the villa is a gravel, single lane road.
Surrounding Area:
The beautiful scenery when we drove around and the interesting medieval towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Cortona was the nearest small town and it was not within walking distance.

The villa is paradise.
Enjoyed Most:
Absolutely everything: breathtaking views (the whole of Tuscany is under your feet) luxury interiors undebatable cleanliness well managed surrounding areas. And friendly and attentive hosts.

They are beautifull.

The nearest town is Cortona. It is a nice medieval place and a perfect tourist destination.

The beauty and proximity to other desirable Tuscan and Umbrian cities.

Cortona. Not walkable but easily reached by car.
Tips or Restaurants:
The owners are exceptional in anticipating guest needs. They provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants.
Directions:
We used a GPS. It was confusing but with communication with the owners we got there.
Check In Out:
The owners were so gracious and welcoming that both the check in and check out were good experiences.
