Come experience life like a local at this villa on the northwest coast of Crete. You can walk to shops to pick up food to prepare in the modern kitchen or on the barbeque, and enjoy your meal al fresco beside the large private pool. After a meal, talk a stroll to the nearby sandy beach, or hop in the car and explore the nearby city of Chania. This villa is composed of two independent apartments, so it’s great for a large group that wants extra privacy.

Location Description

This villa is located in a suburb of Chania, the second largest city in Crete and one of the most picturesque. Sporting architecture from its Turkish and Venetian occupiers, the town is bordered by fortified walls and the waterfront, where there is a Venetian lighthouse. Shopping here is great, particularly for leather and jewelry. The sandy beach of Kalamaki is just 500 meters away, and you can walk to nearby shops. To the west, the village of Platanias is one of the most popular destinations in western Crete, and features sandy beaches, shops, restaurants, and night life.

This modern villa was constructed in 2005, and occupies a 1260 square meter yard landscaped with grassy areas, fruit and cypress trees, and shrubs. There is a private pool (70 m2) with a nearby table, chairs, and sun loungers. There’s also a Jacuzzi, covered dining area, and barbeque.

Interior Description

This villa has two independent apartments; they do not communicate internally.

Apartment 1:
Ground Floor: This apartment has four bedrooms, all of which have air conditioning. Two have queen-size beds (160 cm), and two have twin-beds (90 cm). There are two bathrooms: one with a shower, sink, and toilet, and the other with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, and coffee machine. There is a living room with two couches and a television, and an attached dining area with a table and chairs and access to the outside.

Apartment 2:
First Floor: This apartment has three bedrooms, all of which have air conditioning. Two bedrooms have twin-beds (90 cm), and the third has a queen-size bed (160 cm). There are two bathrooms on this floor, one with a shower, sink, and toilet, and the other with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. The living room opens onto a terrace with sea views. There is also a kitchen and a dining area.
