Questions and Answers From Our Clients
(Click the question to view the answer)
Q: Are the walls so paper thin that it would be not ideal bringing children? I have a five and six year old. Occasionally they are loud (cry or fight with each other!) So I was wondering if that would be problematic or not. We travel quite extensively, but the comments of the thin walls concern me.
A: We stayed in the Machiavelli 3 for a week. The accommodations were very nice and we did not feel that that we were hearing people in the neighboring villa. The place felt very private, though it is near the main office; so there is some traffic. We simply kept our windows closed on that side of the building and were fine.
Q: The photos of this place make it look exquisite and very picturesque. Is the property amazingly beautiful or just average?
A: This place is even more amazing in person than in photos. I totally recommend this place.
Q: Is the road to Florence and other nearby cities easy to navigate? How out of the way is this property?
A: The property is locate in San Casciano, which is a small town 15 minutes away from Florence. The roads are very easy to navigate and the property is not out of the way at all.
Q: Did you get a private feeling at this property or was it overrun with people and was the pool area crowded?
A: We definitely had a very private experience. There were times when we spent all afternoon in the common area outside drinking wine and dining with nobody around. It was to cold to swim the time of year that we went, but we visited the pool area and it was rather large. It would take a good amount of people at the pool to make it feel crowded. In general the property is large and there are several places that you can take your wine and cheese to sit back and relax in the privacy of your company.
Q: How were the owners/managers of the property? Were they knowledgeable and approachable about making recommendations to you regarding travel, restaurants, etc.? Did they help make any special arrangements? Could they speak English at all?
A: The girl who manages the property is very kind and knowledgeable about the area. Feel free to ask her any questions you might have regarding travel or restaurants. She speaks excellent English with an Italian accent. You will be surprised, but almost everyone we talked to spoke English, call it restaurants, museums, etc.
We did not need to make any special arrangements; we had rented a car and drove all over Tuscany during our stay.
I hope this helps.

Overall:
Absolutely wonderful. Will be returning in the future!
Enjoyed Most:
The views, the people that run the property, and the people we met
Enjoyed Least:
We could hear some of the traffic from highway below.
Surrounding Area:
Great restaurants and everything we needed.
Tips or Restaurants:
If you check in on Sunday be CERTAIN to get groceries before 1 PM due to the stores closing at that hour. Also keep in mind the restaurants are also closed until 7:30 pm on Sundays. We learned the hard way.
Directions:
We used the directions give by Rentvillas and they were fine. No GPS.
Check In Out:
Sara was incredible. They are fortunate to have her. A real gem!

Overall:
Very good to excellent.
Enjoyed Most:
The view, peace and quiet, and the pool. The people at the reception were outstanding.
Enjoyed Least:
The sitting areas outside were not near to our apartment. Walls were not soundproof and we could hear other guests. WiFi was spotty at best, but we were warned about it in advance.
Surrounding Area:
Great access to all the major hill towns and only one half hour from the airport and Firenze.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Bargino; yes, but out of the question for senior citizens and therefore a car is a must.
Tips or Restaurants:
Buy Vape at the nearest supermarket or Coop for mosquitoes.
Directions:
Yes we had a GPS, but RentVillas directions were perfect and we got there without a hitch.
Check In Out:
No, as I said earlier, the reception people were outstanding and attentive to all of our needs/concerns.
