This little hamlet tucked away among the gently folding Lucchese hills, is a gracious and luxurious Tuscan retreat. Built in the 1800's as a wild-boar hunting lodge, the property was then transformed into a small village for the workers of the estate. Fully air conditioned throughout, the property has twelve individually styled double bedrooms all with modern en-suite bathrooms. Such gracious living overflows into the many reception rooms, the magnificent banqueting hall, the formal drawing room with views across the peschiera, the card and billiard room and the domed music room. The property is located within reach of the famous Tuscan hill towns, most within an hour's drive away. Lucca is 10 minutes away, Pisa is 30 minutes away, Florence is a one-hour drive, the Cinque Terre can be reached in one and a half hours. Tennis facilities and a golf driving range are 5 minutes away. For a full 18 holes, experience Montecatini or Versilia, 30 minutes away.

Ground floor: Main entranceway with staircase; four ground floor bathrooms; fully equipped kitchen; formal dining room; drawing room; office with telephone, fax, internet access and computer facilities; music room and library; card and billiard room; wine cellar; TV lounge with satellite TV and video; lounge; workout room with music system; laundry room; staff accommodations. First floor: 12 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and shower rooms, and individually controlled room temperature facilities (heating and air conditioning. In each bathroom is a hair dryer, shampoo and soap. There is an iron and ironing board available upon request. Outdoor facilities: Floor-lit swimming pool; mountain bikes; barbecue area; ornamental peschiera with fountain; outdoor tables and chairs for al fresco dining. Included in the weekly rental charge: Staff services; a house manager and two service staff who, along with general housekeeping duties, provide a continental/buffet breakfast each morning and service for either lunch or dinner. A chef is available for either lunch or dinner each day (6 days per week). Staff alternate to have one day off per week. (Please note that when the chef has a day off, no meals are provided apart from breakfast). Heating & air conditioning of house, electricity, water, gas, and use of all outdoor euipment is included. A gardener looks after the grounds and the swimming pool. Excluded from the price are: food and beverages (Guests are repsonsible for all household bills), telephone, fax, and internet charges and personal laundry.
