The colors and textures of the Sorrento coast create a magnificent backdrop at this lovely stone villa perched on a hilltop in an ancient seaside hamlet. An ideal spot for a small wedding party or a gathering with friends and family, the villa has one annex and offers sweeping views of the Gulf of Naples, a small swimming pool, gardens and outdoor dining under a pergola.

Location Description

The villa is located in the hamlet of Santa Maria Annunziata, on the summit of a small hill with a splendid view of the island of Capri and the Gulf of Naples. Within walking distance guests will find a good restaurant offering local cuisine, and there is a general food shop 500 meters away. The larger village of Massa Lubrense is just 2.5 kilometers away. The nearest beach is at Marina del Cantone, beyond Nerano. The town of Massa Lubrense is 2.5 km away, where you will find more restaurants, shops, markets, and places to buy olive oil. There are also excellent pizzerias, mini-markets, and a discotheque.

Nearby Attractions: A short drive away, there's the lovely seaside town of Sorrento, which is famous for its limoncello (an alcoholic apertif) and inlaid wood - you can visit on of the workshops still in operation today to see this centuries-old craft in action. Other Sorrento attractions include the 10th century Basilica di San Antonio, which was build to honor the patron saint of navigators and still attracts sailors' offerings to this day. The 11th century Cathedral houses frescos and a bell tower with a ceramic clock. The "Sorrento Summer of Music" is also held at the cloisters from July to September, and features international musicians performing alongside of emerging talents. The towns of the Amalfi coast like Positano and the island of Capri make good day trips.

Exterior Description

The villa is positioned on a quiet hilltop overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The grounds have many trees and a well-maintained garden. 3 steps from the main entrance, there is a small swimming pool (6.5 m x 3 m, open mid-April to mid-October) surrounded by grass and 6 sunbeds. The slightly tiered lawns and terraces feature lounge chairs and tables for alfresco coffee, drinks and dining, including a dining table for 8 under the pergola and a small table for 2 under the trees. There is parking for 2 cars. From the parking area, the main entrance to the villa is about 10 steps away.

Interior Description

(280 m2)
All bedrooms in the main villa and guesthouses are air conditioned for an additional fee.

Main Villa
Ground Floor: (10 steps) The entrance leads from the garden to the living room, where there is a couch, two armchairs, satellite TV and a fireplace. An open doorway leads to a dining area with a long farmhouse table, and the kitchen, which is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, as well as access from the outside. The second bedroom has a single bed (80 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. There is also a guest bathroom with a sink and toilet as well as a laundry area with a washing machine.

First Floor: (19 steps) There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) with ocean views and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) with ocean views, a living room with a fireplace, a double sofa bed (comfortable for 1, cozy for 2). There is also bathroom with a shower, bathtub, sink and toilet as well as garden access.

Annex (Sleeps 2)
Ground Floor: (10 steps down from the pool) There is a living room with a couch and fireplace, with access to a panoramic ocean-view terrace. There is also a kitchen corner and a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.
