Location Description

This property is located 200 meters from San Donato in Collina, a typical small Italian village with markets, cafes, and a post office. Due to its location in the Florentine hills, one of the best things about this property is that it is also less than a 15-minute drive to Florence, a city rich in architectural and artistic masterpieces. Visit the Piazza San Giovanni, also known as the religious heart of the city, and you’ll see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), built in the 15th century. Other marvelous attractions include the Ponte Vecchio where you can go shopping, the Accademia with the famous sculpture of David, and of course the Uffizi Gallery. There is also a train station in central Florence that can take you quickly and conveniently to Siena or Pisa for the day.

As part of a rural complex, this property consists of a restored farmhouse which is made up of two independent apartments (although connected) and an independent cottage. The farmhouse and cottage are built around a courtyard facing the surrounding olive groves, Vallombrosa Mountains, and Valdarno valleys. There is a garden with a private swimming pool (12m x 6m), open from the beginning of May to the end of October, surrounded by sun loungers and umbrellas. Access to the fenced property is via a paved road and parking is available within the grounds.

Interior Description

This property is divided into two wings that are connected by an internal hallway and a cottage located on the other side of a courtyard.

East Wing (90 m2/968 ft2)
Ground Floor: The entrance opens to the living room, which is furnished with couches and armchairs. There is a separate dining area with a table and chairs and the kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with handheld shower.

First Floor: A stone staircase of 17 steps lead up to two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two narrow single beds (80 cm), suitable for children, although they can be connected to form a queen-sized (160 cm)bed upon prior request. The bedrooms share a connected bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

West Wing (90 m2/968 ft2)
Ground Floor: The entrance opens to the living room where there are couches (one of which is a sofa bed suitable for one), armchairs, a library, and a table with chairs. The combined kitchen and dining room is equipped with a cook-top, bread oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher as well as a table with chairs. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with handheld shower.

First floor: A staircase of 13 steps lead up to two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two 80 cm narrow single beds, suitable for children, although they can be connected to form a 160 cm queen-sized upon prior request. The bedrooms share a connected bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

Cottage (70 m2/753 ft2)
Ground Floor: The entrance opens to the combined living and dining room with a couch, fireplace, and table with chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher and it opens to the garden. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

First Floor: A staircase of 16 steps lead up to two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed (160 cm) and the second bedroom has two narrow single beds (80 cm), suitable for children, although they can be connected upon prior request to form a queen-size bed (160 cm). The bedrooms share a connected bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.
