Overall:
Where can we begin! My wife and I had a really wonderful experience in Skopelos at Villa Adonis. It was situated on the hill overlooking the Mediterranean. It was truly a dream honeymoon. We were in a private and secluded area but close enough to be near society.
Enjoyed Most:
We loved the spaciousness, the pool, the view of the sea and the town, the flowers and landscape. We loved the architecture of the house. It gave us a sense of a real Greek property with high ceilings, tones of blue, open kitchen, open living room, breakfast and dinner balconies, and oh... did I mention the view?!?!!! Absolutely loved it!
Enjoyed Least:
Not much. It did not have the internet but if you are a person that wants to totally be disconnected, this is the place for you.
Surrounding Area:
The town had everything you needed. You could walk to town if you really wanted to (we did). We also drove around the island.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The nearest town is Skopelos. About 30 minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be prepared for total seclusion! Great for families and couples. The best restaurant is the one inside your own kitchen. We cooked most of our own foods.
Directions:
Thank God for our greeter! The directions were not that great. We followed him there. By the way, make sure you can drive a stick and have an international driver's license if you are from the States.

Overall:
The pictures of the property were great but didn't really do it justice. It was breathtaking! The property was amazing and communication was constant. The property was even better than described.
Tips or Restaurants:
The only thing that could have made it easier is a better understanding of when the only ferry would arrive to the island on day of arrival. We couldn't reach the local agent all day so since we were delayed, we were not sure that someone would be there to meet us. Of course they were, and we were relieved. Travel to Skopelos is hard to understand if you've never been there. We learned a lot from the locals about best way to get on-off island and would definitely return. As far a travel to Skopelos, get information about high-low season ferry times before booking flights. Whether we took Olympia or car to boat, we would have had an 8 hour layover in Athens and we didn't know how few time tables were available for transfer until we had already booked plane tickets. The reviews were helpful about renting a car, bringing our own beach towels etc which is information that made things a lot easier.

Overall:
Did I mention how beautiful the property was?
Enjoyed Most:
The architecture and design of the house is absolutely gorgeous and the view is stunning.
Enjoyed Least:
Absolutely nothing.
Surrounding Area:
The house's location provided us with peace and quiet. Not as bustling as other islands but very beautiful scenery and the people were so friendly.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Although the house was not within walking distance of the town, we preferred the view it gave us overlooking Skopelos Town. The town was quick and easy to access by car, as were the beaches.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring or buy beach towels because you can't use the bath towels for the pool or the beach. If you are arriving late, spring for the food basket, it was fantastic! Don't plan on watching any TV unless you speak German - you won't want to anyway. The BBQ at Takis and Sophie's is a must! And Bistro, the Mediterranean restaurant was also great!
Directions:
They really assisted us in making all of the travel arrangements once we got to Greece which was very helpful. Also, having a car escort to the property at that time of the night was also appreciated.
Check In Out:
Everyone in Skopelos, at Rentvillas.com and the local agent were amazing!! So helpful, we never had to worry about anything.

Overall:
Views, house really fully-equipped, very well kept and clean. Cleaning is done every 5 days. No need to leave a US$200 deposit because there is no phone.
Enjoyed Most:
180º views, peace and quiet.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing really.
Surrounding Area:
Picturesque villages and beautiful beaches with nice tavernas to eat.
Nearby Events or Locales:
None, that's the whole idea of this house; it's on the top of a hill with hardly any neighbours around.
Tips or Restaurants:
Tips: There is a washing machine in the house, we asked, and it could be used; and that makes a big difference. Very well-equiped kitchen, backgammon (a must in greece), playing cards. Fruit and vegetables cheaper in grocer's than supermarkets. Car rental highly recommended. Must go to Agnodas for dinner, and to Milia, best beach.
