Overall:
Great place for large family. Lots of room to separate and do your own thing. We had a wonderful time.
Enjoyed Most:
Pool and games room. Lots of room to spread out. Near the beach and lovely views.
Enjoyed Least:
When it rained, water did come into the bathroom.

Great location, near shops, restaurants, and beach.
Check In Out:
We loved the villa. Overall it was one of the best stops for all the family. It is a wonderful place for a large group. Check in and check out were easy.

Overall:
We were so happy staying at the Villa Hyacinthus! It was such an amazing house, even better than expected. We were also happily surprised by how close it was to walk to the centre, we thought we'd be much further outside.
Enjoyed Most:
Very nice and fresh! Pool area was lovely, and nice with the BBQ on the backside. Great to have the beach just below the house as well of course.
Enjoyed Least:
The beds were not super comfortable..
Surrounding Area:
It was so close to whatever was needed, big supermarkets, fish market, fruit market etc. Perfect location as it felt like it was just on the outside of town, but not too far away.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Rethymnon. We normally walked into town (about 40 min) and took a taxi back, which was about 5.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is really everything in the house I think. Even Playstation and nice sound systems.
In the city centre there was an amazing restaurant which our Greek friend brought us to. Not "touristy" at all, but more like a Greek "meze" place. The name is MPAKALOGATOS (BACALOGATOS)! Do not miss it. Then another great one is called Prima Plora which is on the other side of the city. Stunning view and very modern place. Great fish dishes.
Directions:
It was a bit tricky for the taxi driver to find the way, but he called the owner (whose number we had) who directed us. Otherwise it's really close to a big hotel called Pearl.

Easy access. Super friendly and helpful people working there.

Overall:
We all had a fantastic time. It was the ultimate vacation. We had everything we needed. A really fantastic house with a lovely view. Our own pool, just by the beach. Walking distance to town. Nothing more to ask for.
Enjoyed Most:
The outdoor areas.

The only thing any of us could complain about were the beds, as they were quite firm.
Surrounding Area:
The teracce and the pool. Fantastic view over the sea. Lovely both daytime and at nights.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Perfect walking distance to Rethymnon centre. Really nice beach walk with restaurants and cafés along it.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bacalogatos was a fantastic restaurant in the city centre. To be honest we didn't want to eat anywhere else. Fantastic high standard traditional Greek food. Super service.
Also Prima Plora outside the centre was incredible. Amazing view right by the sea. The best seafood!!!

Everything went really smoothly.
