Customer Reviews
Overall:
Overall it was good. Nice area, close to the beach.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, BBQ area. Owner was very helpful in accommodating for small kids. They installed a security door and had a high chair.
Enjoyed Least:
Some outside areas needed better cleaning. Be aware that the beach is small and shared with owners of summer homes nearby.
Surrounding Area:
Very nice houses around, close to the port to go to Spetses.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nearest small town is Porto Heli. You need to take a car to go there approximately 20 min. Roads are not very good, always jammed with parked cars as people leave theirs cars in the port to take a boat for Spetses.
Tips or Restaurants:
Villa is fully equipped and you don't need a lot of additional things. Just make sure it is clean.
Directions:
We did not use GPS on our way from Athens. The owner met us in Porto Heli and escorted us to the villa, which was extremely helpful. He also showed us around.
Check In Out:
No problem.

Overall:
The villa was fabulous. The manager was so helpful and informative about the area. He was available to us during our stay and checked in with us a few times. He left us maps and recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. He took me for a drive around the area and Porto Heli when we arrived so that we would understand the area and the resources available to us ie ferries, boat rentals, beaches, etc.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and the pool. Can't forget the beach, though, too!!
Enjoyed Least:
A new villa was under construction on the same street. It was not really disruptive as they did not start until 8:30 am and ended by 4:00pm and only on weekdays. However we did rent off season which is when construction is allowed.
Surrounding Area:
Porto Heli is a great seaside port. Fantastic restaurants, shops, ferries, grocery stores etc. Yet it retains its quaintness. You had access to the island of Spetses which was a blast. You also had Ydra and Porto in close vicinity.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Porto Heli, which you could walk to, but it is a distance and a rather hilly walk. The next town was Kranidi which was bigger and had more shops etc. You had to drive to Kranidi.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa was fully stocked. The manager left us a few bottles of wine, fruit, milk, coffee and bread for our first day. I would bring ziplock bags and travel mugs. Other than that you did not need anything. Our favorite restaurant was Ourani at the end of the wharf. We also enjoyed Salt and Pepper, Ouzaki and the Dolphin. Every restaurant owner made you feel welcomed.
Directions:
Did not use a GPS. Really didn't need one.
