Overall:
Fantastic time spent in the villa and exploring the surrounding areas. Loved every minute of it.
Enjoyed Most:
Its proximity to the town of Monticchiello made it easy to walk for dinner and back home. It is a little hilly, being Tuscany, but that's all part of the fun.
Surrounding Area:
Close to lovely towns. Pienza was my favorite--up on a hill so the view from the property is stunning as you look back over the local village and Tuscan hills.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montichiello. Yes, an easy walk if you don't mind the gravel road and also climbing uphill back to the villa. We did it every day at least once.
Tips or Restaurants:
Il Porto and Cantina are run by the same family so give them both a go--BEAUTIFUL food at both!

Overall:
Excellent experience.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and the friendliness of the hosts. Also, the fact that it was in a central location and convenient to nearby destinations.
Enjoyed Least:
The hot water in the shower had a tendency to get cold and then get hot.
Surrounding Area:
The beautiful scenery, the food, and the friendliness of the people.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Monticchiello was the nearest town and was quite a walk. We did not walk, but drove.
Tips or Restaurants:
Definitely La Porta in Monticchiello. Excellent food, great service, and a good wine selection. We recommend making reservations.
Directions:
The town of Monticchiello was not on our GPS. We had to have the owner come and get us in Pienza and lead us to the property.

Overall:
Wonderful. The couple were very friendly and helpful and the views were unbelievably lovely. You could see several hilltop villages from outside the front door of the property.
Enjoyed Most:
Its location and beauty.
Enjoyed Least:
Difficult to say as it was so lovely. Maybe the nearness of the small gravel road with occasional farm vehicles.
Surrounding Area:
Easy to reach the local village and nearby towns. The sunsets!
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montechiello. You could walk there in 20 minutes, but it is uphill on the way back, so didn't try it.
