Here is a charming Amalfi Coast apartment rental, ideal for friends traveling together or a couple seeking a romantic getaway. The views of Positano and the Mediterranean Sea below this Positano rental are unmatched. Light and airy inside, with a wonderful terrace outside for relaxing and dining, this Amalfi Coast vacation apartment is a good choice for those who enjoy an active lifestyle.
- Location Description
-
A 15 minute walk from this villa will take you down to the center of Positano; it is 10 minutes more to the main beach, "Spiaggia Grande." From the street level (104 steps downhill from the apartment), a short bus ride takes guests to the top of the village every 15 minutes, and from there busses leave to various towns. To the right of the main beach numerous ferries and hydrofoils leave daily between Positano and Capri (50 min), Naples (50 min), Amalfi (30 min), and Salerno (30 min). Within a few minutes walk there is a variety of shops, bars, internationally known boutiques, and various restaurants. Guests can use a payable car park 100 meters from street level (arrange at time of booking). Blue SITA busses cost about 1-2 euros, depending on destination. Stops are marked with a blue and white SITA sign. The small internal bus (orange mini-bus) of Positano is marked by a brown FERMATA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes; Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes; Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes.
Please Note: While the Amalfi Coast is beautiful and charming, it is also steep, with many uphill and downhill stairs and walkways. In general, it is an area that is not kind to those of us with knee or mobility issues. This should be considered before booking a property in this area.

Questions and Answers From Our Clients
(Click the question to view the answer)
Q: What should we bring from home to make life easier at the Villa?
A: The villa has most of the things you will need, including cutlery and dishes. However, along with your usual travel items, you may want to bring bathroom tissue and soap. We ran out of these while on site at the property. If you are planning on washing your clothes, you may also want to bring some laundry detergent. Finally, if you drink coffee in the morning, the property does not have a coffee maker (percolator), so that is something you may want to take into consideration.
A: a cell phone, sunscreen, an extra pair of glasses (reading and sun-protection), a COMFORTABLE pair of shoes
Q: Has anyone arrived from Naples on the Ferry?
A: I did not arrive by ferry but I saw people get on and off the only thing is if they have a lot of bags they have to get them to Baleno and the steps are killers. I hope these people are young. Baleno is very nice we had a great time there.
A: Although we first arrived by a taxi van (prearraged car service), I would recommend taking the ferry from Naples (which we did on day trips to various places). The drive fron Naples to Positano is beautiful, but I became very car sick both ways and thought I would throw-up.
Q: 1. We are traveling late Sept. early Oct., what can we expect about the weather and the type of clothes to have for men and women?
A: The weather is warm during the day and it cools off at night. Light jacket or sweater during the evenings. We also encountered some heavy rain showers in the evening. So some rain gear or an umbrella would be handy. The rain refreshed the air and the lightning lit up the sky and the mountains. Very beautiful.

Customer Reviews
Overall:
Our overall experience was magical! RentVillas.com offered outstanding customer service. Each player in the experience was professional, on time and beyond welcoming. Destiny from RentVillas was always on top of all aspects of our requirements. Patricia who picked us up at the airport was punctual and beyond personable. Her boss Fabio was also very on top of things. We requested Patricia several times to drive us to Pompeii and Sorrento along with Naples. Patricia added to our fantastic experience. Giovanni and Rita the owners of the villa welcomed us like we were family. Philamina the key holder and Salvatore who carried our luggage up 104 steps were both delightful and amazing to deal with. Antonietta, who was our villa contact, was always available and helpful. There was not one aspect of our Positano stay that we did not LOVE!
Enjoyed Most:
The view the owners and the amazing location. Property was immaculately clean. It was like being home!
Enjoyed Least:
There was nothing to not like!
Ok, so the 104 steps were not the most fun, but the exercise was fantastic. We could eat as much as we wanted and not gain an ounce. That was a huge plus!!!!
Surrounding Area:
The restaurants, shopping, beach, ferries, markets and pharmacy were all inviting and convenient. We travel a great deal and I must say Positano was the most beautiful, breathtaking place I have been to.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We stayed in Positiano. Nothing outside of that was in walking distance. The ferries made traveling very convenient. Went to Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, Sorento, Salerno!
Tips or Restaurants:
Things to bring: bathing bar soap, umbrella, rain jacket, shoes that you can walk for miles in.
Restaurants Baca Di Bucco, Di Vencenza, Il Fiornillo, Chez Black
Directions:
Always hire a driver to take you to the property. Much easier!
Check In Out:

Enjoyed Most:
The view.
Enjoyed Least:
Small showers.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. You could walk to almost everywhere!
Tips or Restaurants:
Come prepared to relax and enjoy!
Directions:
It would have helpful to know, in advance, that the property was up from Via Pasitea and down from Marconi and that Via del Canovaccio connected the two.
Check In Out:
We truly appreciated the efficiency of the process once we arrived.

Overall:
A comfortable, relaxing week, with gorgeous views of the water and graceful accommodations.
Enjoyed Most:
Terrace. View. Tiled floors everyplace. Cool rooms (never even turned on AC, in 75+ degree weather) and pleasant interior design. Comfortable bed and living room furniture. Two charming and functional baths. Washing machine. Having to walk and climb steps every day. Landlords nearby, friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed Least:
Smallish kitchen. Artificial flowers. Steps made carrying a lot of luggage in and out a challenge. Noisy machinery nearby at night. Difficult walking in Positano traffic, narrow streets. Town overrun with tourists, even in May, crowded, sundress and souvenir shops dominating downtown.
Surrounding Area:
Excellent restaurants with beautiful views. Friendly people in markets. Gorgeous views. Beach.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Positano. Yes. Lots of steps, but we were prepared for this.
Directions:
We had no trouble finding the property. Used a car service from Naples airport.
Check In Out:
Filomena was very nice and full of good information when she arrived, and she was also very accommodating re departure.
