The Santa Croce quarter is located on the southeastern part of the historic center of Florence. Since the Middle Ages, it was an area specializing in leather. In fact, today it is still filled with leather shops! The famous Santa Croce Church, filled with important frescos and tombs of some of the city’s greats, is just a two minutes’ walk from this apartment. The piazza in front of the church is filled day and night with tourists and locals. Some of the best gelato shops and restaurants can be found in this neighborhood. Piazza dei Ciompi has a daily flea market as well as a large monthly market (last Sunday).

Second Floor (68 steps): Enter into the apartment’s hallway and guests come across two of the bedrooms and one of the apartment’s bathrooms, with a shower. The first bedroom has a set of narrow single beds (80 cm; most suitable for young people), a dresser and TV. Going up a small set of stairs, the second bedroom is to the right. Also accessed by another small set of stairs, it is under lovely sloped ceilings, and has a queen size bed (160 cm) and assorted furniture. The living room is furnished with a large sofa, bookshelves, a TV, and a glass dining table with chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, American coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, and dishwasher. Off of the living room is the master bedroom with a queen size bed (160 cm), desk and TV, and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub, shower, sink and toilet.
