Indulge in a getaway with friends or family at this restored hilltop villa nestled in the Tuscan countryside. The villa features beautiful art and design throughout, including Murano glass, and offers a large outdoor swimming pool, outdoor kitchenette, alfresco dining and sweeping views of the surrounding hills.

Location Description

The villa is located 5 km from the small, authentic Tuscan village of Chianni where there are bars, restaurants and architectural structures dating back to the 12th-century. In mid-November the village holds Sagra del Cinghiale, an annual wild boar festival which draws visitors from all over Italy for entertainment and local delicacies. The neighboring village of Lajatico is home to famed tenor Andrea Bocelli’s open-air amphitheater, Teatro del Silenzio, where the singer performs annually. The thermal spa at Casciana Terme is about 15-20 minutes from the villa. Pisa, Florence and Volterra are all within driving distance and are great destinations for half- or full-day excursions.

Exterior Description

A tree-lined gravel road leads to the villa, which is situated on a hill and surrounded by extensive manicured gardens with trees, shrubs and plenty of grassy expanses. There is a loggia with a large dining table for 10 – 12. The adjacent wooden deck has two outdoor sofas, two armchairs, a table and an umbrella. The lawn is equipped with a large, shaded outdoor bed for lounging. A small set of steps leads down to the lower terrace, where there is a large swimming pool (12 x 5 m; there is a shallow end for children), 8 sunbeds, umbrellas and tables overlooking the pristine countryside. There is also an enclosed dining room with a table for 8 – 12, kitchenette, barbecue, wood oven and glass doors on three sides, offering views of the pool and valley.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: There is a large, open living room with several seating areas, including a sofa, four armchairs, TV, fireplace and doors to the terrace. The dining room has a table for 8 and a wall of windows with views of the hills. The adjacent kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, barbecue and table for 4. There is also a laundry room (washing machine, iron and board) and a guest bathroom with a toilet.

First Floor: There are 4 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm), walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, bidet and hairdryer. The fourth bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer.
