About The Experience

This beautiful villa, once a convent, is located just outside the city of Lucca. It will comfortably accommodate a large group of friends or family. Surrounded by the greenery of the Tuscan countryside, this villa is very comfortably furnished, features a swimming pool, terrace and lawns, and is spacious enough to allow for lots of privacy.

Location Description

This villa is located within easy driving distance of the walled city of Lucca, which is seven kilometers away. Lucca is worth enjoying simply for its medieval charm, but there are also a number of interesting sights to visit. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130-foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable… and a lot less work! Day trips can include Pisa, Florence and the Cinque Terre.

Exterior Description

(10,000m2) This villa dates back to the year 1600 and was once a convent for nuns. It is situated on the hills surrounding Lucca and features fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside. There is a garden that is full of old trees, colorful flowers, and a landscaped lawn. A terrace is furnished with a barbecue and tables with chairs and leads to a staircase that leads down to a private swimming pool. The pool (12m x 6m) is surrounded by a sun deck with sun loungers and umbrellas. A shower is located underneath the staircase that leads to the pool. A paved road leads to the property and parking is available within the property grounds.

Interior Description

Main Villa
Ground Floor: The entrance leads to a spacious living room with couches, chairs, satellite TV, and large windows that open to views of the valley. There are five bedrooms on this floor. The first and second bedrooms each have two 80 cm narrow single beds (which are best suited for young people) and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. The third, fourth, and fifth bedrooms each have a 170 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. There is also a service bathroom with a toilet.
Lower Ground Floor: A spiral staircase from the living room leads down to a dining room with a table and chairs and an open kitchen equipped with a cook-top, oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher.

First Floor of Villa An internal staircase leads up to the top floor where there are three apartments.

Apartment 1
First Floor: There is a combined living and dining room with a double sofa bed (most comfortable for one, cozy for two), a table with chairs, and an open kitchenette equipped with a cook-top and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom has a 170 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two 80 cm narrow single beds (which are best suited for young people). The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower.
