- About The Experience

Families will feel right at home at this Provencal accommodation. Modernly furnished, this rental is clean, comfortable, and well-located. Saint-Remy-de-Provence is the nearest town, which is truly special if you’re a Van Gogh fan, or if you enjoy charming and lively towns.
- Location Description

The property is located less than two kilometers from Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Saint-Remy-de-Provence is most well known for the Saint Paul de Mausole Hospital, where Vincent Van Gogh spent the last and most productive year of his life, painting such masterpieces as "Starry Night," "Irises," and "Wheat Field with Cypresses." Today Saint Remy is alive with artists and traditions of its past, faithfully passed on from one generation to the next. Of course, you will also find shops, restaurants, markets, a post office, pharmacy, and bank. A great day trip destination is Avignon. Energetic and lively, partly because of its university, Avignon has countless activities and places to see. The noteworthy sites include the Palais des Papes, the Musee Carnavalet, and the Notre Dame des Doms cathedral.

Customer Reviews
Overall:
Absolutely enjoyed our stay. We were provided with everything we could need during the stay. Everything was in excellent condition.
Enjoyed Most:
We liked the location, the layout of bedrooms.
Enjoyed Least:
Proximity of neighboring villas.
Surrounding Area:
Natural beauty, proximity to the center of the town.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The center of St Remy de Provence was within 15 minutes walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
No need to bring anything. If you plan to do laundry just bring laundry detergent. The restaurants in the center all look good, but we preferred dining in Avignon and Arles.
Check In Out:
The process was very smooth and fast thanks to Dominique.

Overall:
This little place, styled in a traditional Provencal style, is decorated in a modern style. It has many amenities and conveniences. It is quite secure and private, even though you are part of a complex of similar little villas. Dominque was very helpful, and we've had a very pleasant time here shopping at the Marche, visiting San Remy, and touring around many of the surrounding towns in the Luberon and Vaucluse. The weather has been warm, but we have AC, plus a little swimming pool. The breezes have been light to windy, but this may be the combination of weather this time of year as the locals talk a lot about the mistral - I'd say this is a warm mistral.
Enjoyed Most:
The internet access is superior.
Enjoyed Least:
The TV reception is great, but all the channels are in French. We did enjoy watching some of Wimbleton, though.
Surrounding Area:
This place offers the convenience of major places to visit in the area, but the feeling of being part of a traditional landscape.

Overall:
Very Good.
Enjoyed Most:
Peace and quiet and the pool.
Enjoyed Least:
Only one mirror in the bathroom. No mirrors in bedrooms or rest of house. Lounge area was very simple - extra chairs would have been most helpful. Extra towels would be helpful. For the price we found it upsetting that we had to pay extra for linen and towels.
Surrounding Area:
St Remy and surrounding areas have fabulous restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
St Remy is a 15 minute-walk.
