Location Description

Within a little hamlet, this gracious Tuscan retreat is tucked away in a beautiful area with lovely villas and a charming village – just south of the town of Lucca. The villa is within reach of many of the famous Tuscan hill towns, most within an hour's drive away. The Cinque Terre is about an hour and a half away. Lucca is worth enjoying simply for its medieval charm, but there are also a number of interesting sights to visit. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130-foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable… and a lot less work! Plus there are plenty of shops and restaurants for your enjoyment. There are also restaurants within the small hamlet.

Exterior Description

This large estate encompasses other large luxury villas, all with their own grounds and facilities. This early 19th century villa is surrounded by lush trees, plants, and flowers and is comprised of a main villa and a guest cottage. The main villa has been fully restored to the highest of standards, yet it still retains its age-old Tuscan charm with terracotta tiled floors, wood beamed ceilings, frescos and several little patio areas shaded by rose covered gazebos. The adjacent guest cottage is charming and has also been fully restored. There is an outdoor dining area with a barbecue and a table and chairs. The private swimming pool (14m x 7m) is surrounded by sun loungers. Near the Guest Cottage is a private Jacuzzi. Parking is available within the property grounds.

Main Villa
Ground Floor: The entrance leads to a living room with couches, satellite TV, and a DVD player. The dining room has a large table with chairs and looks out to the winter garden conservatory. Near the dining room is a small banquet hall. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher. There are two guest bathrooms on this floor, each with a sink and toilet.
First Floor: A staircase leads up to an office and five bedrooms. The first bedroom has views over the estate as well as Lucca, a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second and third bedrooms each have a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The fourth bedroom has two 90 cm single beds and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The fifth bedroom has one 90 cm single bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
Second Floor: A staircase leads up to three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a sitting area with a couch, a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second and third bedrooms each have a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
