Location Description

The area around this Paris apartment on Rue de Turenne (cross street Rue Debelleyme) is the heart of historical and artistic Paris. Its art galleries, shaded by arcades dating from the 15th century, are famous throughout the world. The neighborhood, filled with numerous restaurants, bars, and trendy shops, is certain to seduce you! The nightlife is not to be missed. Nearby attractions include the Musee Picasso, Archives de France, Musee Carnavalet, the Seine, Opera Bastille, Notre Dame, the Hotel de Ville, and Victor Hugo’s house. Metro stops in the area include St-Paul/St-Louis, Hotel de Ville, and Rambuteau.

Unknown too many are the Beehives of the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg – hit the beehives at the right time in the fall and you’ll be able to purchase the honey. The popular cocktail bar, Les Etages, has two “branches”, one located in the Marais; the other in St Germain. The covered market, Marche St.-Quentin, dates back to 1860, and has 30 plus stalls of mouth- watering cheese, baked goods, meats and more. La Perlerie is a tiny store offering bronze and silver bracelet and necklace charms and you can assemble your jewelry right in the store. For some of the best steak frites of Paris, stop by Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, known simply as l’Entrecôte, but expect a wait of at least a half-hour.

The apartment is located on the ground floor in a building in the style of an old Parisian apartment block. Windows of the apartment look onto an interior, private garden, ensuring a quieter sleep, and a door code provides an extra measure of security.

Ground Floor: This petite studio apartment comes equipped with a couch, a table for two, a TV (French only) and a corner kitchen with sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and cook top. The standard double bed (140 cm) is situated in a small alcove accessed via four steps. Please be aware that the bed area has a low ceiling not tall enough to stand, so these accommodations require a degree of flexibility. The bathroom includes a sink, shower, and WC.
